The salty slush that we New Englanders drive on half the year destroyed the exhaust system of Alexis' car. That was only one of many minor but expensive issues that it faced. She decided now was the time to get something a little newer and better.

I can see the Toyota badge, but I'm not enough of a car buff to identify it. Is it a Prius?

It is indeed! Our first hybrid.

Nice! Our vehicle just racked up a four-figure bill, the biggest part of which was repairing the rusted exhaust. Hopefully that will keep it going for a while, but we're starting to take notice of other cars, hybrids chief among them.

232K miles and six years later, we still love ours SO MUCH, and it's given us relatively little trouble. Have fun with it!
