
These blandings turtles hatched at monitored nests, were taken into captivity and kept warm and well fed until after just a few months they got to be as big as 4 year old wild turtles. This greatly increases the chances that they will survive to reproductive age. These individuals have undergone laparascopic sex determination and are recovering from anaesthesia.
