These blandings turtles hatched at monitored nests, were taken into captivity and kept warm and well fed until after just a few months they got to be as big as 4 year old wild turtles. This greatly increases the chances that they will survive to reproductive age. These individuals have undergone laparascopic sex determination and are recovering from anaesthesia.

Thanks for numbering them! There's nothing worse than trying to refer to a baby turtle by appearance, "Oh, soooo cute!" and they are so easy to misplace, "okay it was the one with no head and no feet, no, wait... oh shit..."

My friend told me that he and his wife had trouble telling their baby twins apart so he drew eyebrows and a mustache on one of them, sick bastard, with indelible marker!
