Annual blue rabbit urine post

Finding blue rabbit urine in the snow is almost becoming routine. All you need are wild rabbits (in our case, eastern cottontails), snow (got plenty), and buckthorn--an invasive woody plant that rabbits resort to feeding on in the winter when food is scarce.

seems like an easter kind of thing... oh wait, thats dyed eggs... ; )

I didn't know about this buckthorn effect either... I'm not sure even what buckthorn looks like, I'm going to google... is the blue pee specific to rabbits? or anything that might also eat it?

To my knowledge, no other animal seems to have the buckthorn effect. Check my buckthorn tag for some pics and more info!
