The black markings around his eyes and his pointy ears make him look a little like a raccoon in the first picture.

He's gorgeous.

Uh, why is the red fox black, anyway?

This coloration (black with white tips) is known as "silver." It occurs rarely in the wild but is intentionally bred in captivity for the fur trade.

Random story I want to tell before I forget. On my way home, I heard "maaaah! maaaah! maaaaah!" I looked for the catbird, only to find a squirrel!

Gorgeous! It looks a bit like he's having a Lion King moment in the second pic. He's beautiful and he knows it. :)

Stunning!

I have a litter of kittens in my possession that I've been told may be bobcat hybrids...buncha bullcrap maybe, but they are a little strange looking.

You seem to be the resident LJ animal expert (at least in my little journal world), check out my page. I know I've pictures posted before...but I'll post again, just for you.

I meant "posted pictures." My dyslexia is showing. *blush*

Flattering, but...

"Expert" is relative, obviously. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Okay, perhaps not quite an expert (yet), but you have the passion and enthusiasm to make you one!

Like one of my college profs once told me, "the more you know, the more you realize how much you DON'T know."
