This rain is spoiling my day off plans for photographing more urban species. The mid-day news drone is telling me that it should be ending in the afternoon. Hopefully, before the sun goes down!

If it were spring or summer, the rain wouldn't be a problem: I have to profile leopard slugs and european snails at some point!

Are you glad we're not in oregon?

Not really--I suspect that there might be something alive to see during the oregon winter.

My mistake, I thought you were complaining about the rain. Oh, that's right, YOU WERE. :p

I'm complaining about the season of death. I miss the bugs and slugs.

I miss the slugs, and worms, and snails, and flowers, and bees, and and and. :(

I'm glad you said this! I'm in Washington and we recently broke our previous consecutive-days-of-rain record (35, the record was 33). I'll take the emerald green forests with persistent rain any day over colder, snowy Mid-Atlantic or New England winters (though I do plan to move back to Pennsylvania some day)...

3 days of rain in a row is enough to make me want to stab at my eyes with sharp things. :(

Ooof, don't do that! Do something productive... Stab at someone else's eyes!

Got any slime mold? It's growing here. Also the chickweed and the henbit are in bloom.

No slime mold or blooming weeds here--I found two fresh fungal growths, unknown species, even!
