Noticing the year, 02/18/08

It was so nice to be back at work today, where "Hey, have you ever seen giraffe sperm?" is a perfectly innocent question from a coworker. And then, when she beckoned me over to the microscope, she clarified: "Their necks aren't as long as you'd think."

Obligatory weather note: downpours this morning, but tropical feeling air topping out at 61 degrees. I'm sweaty from walking the dogs tonight, and it's still in the 50's out there.

Another day of difficult deliberation tomorrow, and I'm dreading it.
