You know how people have irrational stubborn fears of things like sharks? I think I have one of those. Except it’s not a typical fear. I’d be scared shitless, but excited, and I’d almost want that experience.

And that photo reminds me just how I cannot wait much longer to drop my canoe into the lakes this summer.
I saw a video the other... er, week of a group of Japanese Kayakers; suddenly an orca leaps out of the water and onto one of the kayakers taking it under. A moment later the kayak surfaces and the kayaker rolls it upright.
Though the audio is in Japanese, one of the people in the lab had lived in Japan so could make out some of the words, there was a fair bit of exclaiming "I can't believe this is real!" or something like that.
I'm not sure if it was real or doctored, but it looked fairly convincing. If I can find a link for it I'll send it to you.
