Animal Attacks

I just posted several stories to the animal_attacks community, because I found them while I was looking for the New York Times magazine feature story "Are we driving elephants crazy?" (or some such--as heard on npr) But many of you may not know about the animal_attacks community, and if not, you should go check it out. It's just links to media about animal attacks, but I dig it. I made it because its the kind of thing I wished existed, but it didn't, so now it does.

You should at least read about the panda mauling the drunk.

The panda mauling story made me smile. I shall remember never to try and hug a panda while drunk! Only when sober!

While I feel bad for people who get seriously mauled or killed in animal attacks, like Steve Irwin[1], I find myself almost always rooting for the critter in such situations: "Bite him! Bite him!"

Eccentric? Eeew, nah, who's yer lolli?
