The Weekly Dig article

I really couldn't be happier. It's honest, she didn't misquote me, and she got my livejournal url right!

i liked that article a lot - especially this paragraph: Taylor’s the kind of person who’s spent enough quality time hanging out with nonhuman organisms to know that the easiest way to keep a weevil you’ve caught from escaping is not to clench your hand tight around it, but to plunk it down on your forearm and let it struggle to claw through your arm hair. He’s seen enough moon jellyfish to be surprised when he finds one with six sex organs instead of the usual four. He carries a clasp knife that he uses like an extra appendage: digging up the roots of clover plants to find the pink clusters of nitrogen-fixing nodules, neatly halving a woody oak gall to get at the little rice-grain wasp larvae inside. Questioned about some weed or other, he launches effortlessly into what I’ve heard scientists call “fa-fa”: the friendly edu-patter used to explain natural history to clueless civilians without using too many big words.

Hehe it's like a love letter! It makes you sound like Boston's Crocodile Hunter (without the crocodiles. and stingrays).

Re: the quotes from you at the end - someone in a community I am in posted a link to this article about what would happen to the world if humans disappeared, though you might like it.
