I am curious as to what they plan to do today to attempt to save it. I will be watching for any updated news though this is one time in my life I actually wish I was in memphis!

I have a deep love for all the Manatees and Dugongs, despite the fact that their diet of nought but Sea-Grass leaves them with utterly *rank* breath that smells like dozens of ancient cabbages hitting yo in the face. A whiskery kiss from a happy dugong? Is not something you forget in a hurry, unless you have a good mouthwash *g*
I'm still convinced that, if they exist, the colony of creatures known collectively as "Nessie" is a surviving population of Steller's Sea Cows, which were Manatee the size of a bus...
Oh man... what we need now is for a southern 'Quint' type, a small-town sheriff, and Richard Dreyfuss to spend a week on the river in a small boat trying to catch the manatee... before it kills again!
