というか、豊かな感受性を持ちながら、一生懸命「男らしさ」を模索しているひとりの男性という描かれ方に感動したのかもね。

たとえばKen Watanabeがこの役を演じてもあまり感動しなかったかも。彼は「男」であることについて考えたりするタイプではないと思う。まあ、そういうことろがハリウッドでうけたのかも。
彼は２０代で時代劇の主役を演じて、その演技力を認められて、たくさんのドラマや映画の主役の話が決まっていた矢先にlukemiaでその後、つい最近、大物時代劇俳優が蹴ったらLast Samurai
の代役でまたやっとカムバックという感じ。それ以前は、ダメ男の役ばかりで、そういうのって、似合わない。
男らしい男というのは、実は女性ではなく、男性から見てかっこいい男ということだと思う。

What do you think about the ex KGB spy, who was killed in London? It sounds like a 007 movie. Scotland yardもきちんと捜査しないと、英国政府が彼を殺したなんて疑惑を生みかねないものね。こわ～い。

my parents have this wooden tiki in their backyard--it's about 6 feet high and slightly rotting. there was a cottonwood growing out of the very top. i thought it would be a very interesting experiment, but my dad killed it. he hates cottonwood and started a neighborhood dispute with the guy whose tree hangs over the backyard.
