I wonder:

Is my brother more affected by Hunter S. Thompson's death, or Dr. Gene Scott's? http://www.drgenescott.com/home.htm

And is his editorial cartoon

going to feature both of them this week?

Hey! I Know, I know!

I was about to give the answer, but then again, I don't want to spoil anyone's guesses. I guess I'll come back when the cartoon is online. The short answer though is that Will Eisner's death hit me harder than it should have. I wrote a piece about that which didn't make it to publication. If I had a blog, it would be there.

Also note that our website isn't as clever as Urbpan supposes. Clicking on that link will always take you to that same cartoon. This weeks cartoon will be posted sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday. In the meantime, chew on this juicy rant from last weeks paper.

Thompson by far. Frankly I didn't realize the other good doctor had passed. I'm sure once Saint Peter gets done bitch slapping him for his puppet show of the last supper performed with Cabbage Patch Kids and a Teddy Ruxpin, he'll be fine.

As for Raoul Duke, most of the coverage I've seen so far has been pretty spot on. They could all be summerized as " He was a unique, ground breaking writer, it's a great loss and it's really surprising it took this long to happen. Here's my editorial cartoon. Enjoy.

I'm just backtracking from last week when my computer was down, and am astounded to learn of Dr. Scott's passing! I haven't seen a word anywhere! I remember the huge battle over the "Jesus Saves" sign...we used to get krunked and watch his show; it made a little sense, then.

Thank goodness for NPR, or I never would have known.
