I have incredibly mixed feelings, as I just got back with the new issue of Urban Nature Walk, which I had done at a new printer--and they did a great job--and then allowed a great many of them to be water damaged.

It was a totally rookie move, not making sure that they were safe during transport, and I only have myself to blame. I couldn't even bring myself to post about it until now (I actually brought them home 4 hours ago) because I was so disappointed. I'm going to staple them and see how they look.

Those people that have prepaid will get the ones that stayed dry. Depending how many are left, I may have to bite the bullet and print another run.

The plus side is that I think if we bust ass a bit, we can possibly put together an Urban Pantheist in time for the zine fair. I'll just remember to bring a box and several plastic bags with me when I pick it up.

In other news, has anyone seen "The Parrots of Telegraph Hill?" My comment several months ago that there should be a new genre of film, the urban nature documentary, seems to have been prophetic. Plus, this new doc takes place in my favorite city! That won't induce me to shell out money and find the time to go to a theater to see it (I'm saving it in my queue), but I am happy about it.

I don't mind a water damaged one.

The damned PO will probably tear it all to shit before I get it anyway. ALL my mail is mangled in one way or another.

Well, excepting BILLS, of course.
All my GOOD mail is torn to shit.

I'm over my panic attack--it's not as bad as I thought, but I felt like a real idiot.

That sucks about your mail, youd think that the largely veteran-staffed postal service would show respect for active duty people.
