It was this group of girl scouts! (being coached to smile for the volunteer coordinator's camera by the den mothers. do they still call them den mothers?)



I wish this was my 3:00 snapshot, but I shot it about 30 seconds before my alarm went off.

No, it's the Boy Scouts that call them Den Mothers, with Girl Scouts it's troop leaders.

Good for the girl scouts! I am actually an assistant troop leader, they do let men do that, and my wife is a troop leader! It's nice when the girls perform a service project.

Yeah. Didn't manage to get a good picture of one while I was there (nor in Boston the whole damn year). I didn't see any monk parakeets in Austin, either, and that would have been a good one.

Sure did see cockroaches, though.
