Zookeeper Poetry Zine
Mar. 10th, 2005 12:55 pmSo I can't stop making zines! Because of that last post, I'm actually considering making a poetry zine. All the poems must be written by zookeepers or ex-zookeepers, and the poems must be about zookeeping in some way.
I'm actively soliciting illustrations. They should be black and white, easily reproducable (by photocopier) and have something to do with zoos.
If I get enough submissions soon enough, I'll put it out by the boston zine fair, March 19/20. (Don't worry, Alexis, I won't make you work on it [unless you really want to]).

Thinks exhibit modification is its job-
fills in water bowl with dirt,
webs itself into a cave.
I that a molt?!

do you want the text mixed in with the image?
I can't picture what you mean...
Holy cow, are you serious, by the way? Thanks for considering this!!
xerox-reproducible. Back when I was doing a comics anthology zine, this was pretty easy. Most everyone used india ink line art. Occasionally someone would use washes (b+w watercolor, basically) and it was hell to reproduce.
