This is rather unrelated to your lovely photo, but I have a question.
What can be done to prevent a bird (Robin) from continually flying into and hitting a window? My neighbors have a feeder on the property line, which is nearly directly in the path of my kitchen window and this bird has it hit it already half a dozen times today.
This site assumes that the robin is attacking its reflection rather than just making a flight error. Some stores sell vinyl stickers to put on your window so that birds "see" the window. Since your robin has hit it repeatedly, I'd guess it's attacking its reflection. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is cover your window, or put an obstacle in front of it.
there's alwys something oddly pleasing about seeing your shots of places i'm in and have been in for so many years. it's like some kind of slippage...like i was here at my desk, and suddenly i'm in brookline. :)
