I have much to say about the Terry Schiavo debacle, but I'm still not able to calmly discuss it. Suffice it to say, I think everyone (even, in fact, especially, young healthy people) should come up with a plan for dealing with extreme disability and death, and commit it to a legal document.

thanks for that link. i took care of all this a few years ago when my husband was having some serious health problems, but i printed up a copy of the form to give to a single mom friend of mine.

the schiavo case is apalling. i cannot even imagine what sort of people her parents must be, to drag this through the media and the courts this way.
