Did I understand the woman was checking to see if there were any dead fetuses in the pig's womb? Did the pig just give birth?

She was feeling to see if there were any more piglets inside--as it turned out, there was one more, but it ended up dying.

I honestly don't know. I suspect it is. They keep a box of shoulder-length exam gloves and a bottle of lube around all the time though, so it certainly isn't anything unusual!

I was thinking about my grandfather, and how he was a rancher. I guess he must've done this. :( Yikes! Oh well, I understand why it's done.
