3:00 snapshot, #116.

The wood turtle gets some time out in the enrichment tank. The goose wants in.

The view from the other side.

Disgusting substance of the day: Whatever this crap that I've been breathing all day is. It feels like tightly clenched monkey fists.

On this day in 365 urban species: Daisy fleabane. I haven't seen a lick of this stuff yet this year.

Just curious- are you familiar at all with the NWF program that "certifies" your backyard as a wildlife habitat?

link here

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on it.

I like the idea. Of course, all yards are habitat, it's just some are habitat for desirable species and some aren't. I haven't had a yard in a long time.

Hmmmmm...it has been my experience that geese usually get their way (and perhaps the turtle knows that, too! ) because geese are big and cranky and take no bs.....Better get out of the way Mr. Turtle!! (:O
