Disgusting substance of the day: Mealworm goo. My boss said that once a baby bird had been fed mealworms and they didn't die inside the bird, but instead ate their way out of the baby bird, killing it, so she recommended "crushing the heads" of the mealworms. My husband would love you forever if you posted a video. In a, you know, MANLY way. The way men love each other when one posts baby duck videos for the other one...
You SO need to come to the zoo in a month or two, when we have flamingo chicks. We hand-raise them, which is really cute in the beginning but gets old once they'r bigger and the formula gets grosser and they eat more. That's one in my icon.

Yea that story about the mealworms makes sense since birds don't chew their food...how icky though! I'm glad my beardie chews his worms, I don't like smooshing/cutting off heads either...
