Urban rock balancing

I have a lot of pictures to upload from last week, and a lot of things to do today. I'll try to share some pics and be reasonably productive as well. This rock balance is on the sidewalk of Brookline Ave in Boston.


This one is on the same street, at the point where the Muddy River crosses under it.


This photo isn't great, but I'm trying to line up the balance with the river.


This is nearby, at the intersection of The Riverway and Parkway Drive.


This is the reverse view of the same one. I really need to work on the photography at least as much as on the balancing.

I remember you posting a series of pictures about, apparently, a class you took on this. Or taught? Where can I get more information about this activity?

I don't know about classes, but get the andy goldsworthy documentary "rivers and tides", he will fascinate you

The class I attended was with my friend rockbalancer. She has a yahoo group mailing list you can sign up for at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rockbalancingexcursions
She'll be doing more rockbalancing classes at Mass Audubon in the fall.

I believe she became interested in rock balancing after meeting Bill Dan. His site has some good information.
