Honolulu, Hawaii.
Best moment of the day: cuddling with Alexis and the dogs, even though we were crying. That was over 20 hours ago and I'm still awake. I'm enjoying Hawaii, also. :)

My first view of Honolulu, from the plane.

Dad goes native, on the hotel ledge.

The view off the other side.

Your choice.

Dad samples the local delicacy.

And then plunges into Waikiki beach.

Banyan trees line some of the sidewalks.

In the malls they offer "pick your own pearls" complete with live oysters.

A little girl claps her hands to attract the carp.
On this day in 365 urban species: European green crab.

Date: 2007-07-08 05:20 pm (UTC)And thanks for the kind words. I'll be posting pics every day that I can--we seem to have wifi at both places we're staying. There might be a day I miss when we are on the way back--we'll travel all day, and lose 6 hours to time zone change.
