The North River--it's tidal, and this is all salt water.


I was out on the other side of this, The Old Boathouse, when I took the panorama.


This damselfly is an ebony jewelwing. They are very difficult to photograph, so I'll post this lousy one. I'll get a good shot one of these days. This is only the third time I've seen them.


I wonder what this sign said, before the tree took it, and the elements erased it.


The rainless summer dried this creek bed up.


This cardinal flower seems to like it though.




A good place for a rockbalance, too.

Indeed! Nudity is a problem on that campus: The school's private beach on the Puget Sound is the location for the graduate student's unofficial graduation celebration sans clothing.
