Many of the trees in Boston are turning about a month ahead of schedule.

Flowering dogwood tree in front of my house.

Unidentified tree at Leverett Pond.

A nearby tulip poplar.

But the apples are good!

save me an apple! it's so sad the trees are turning this early. i'm already slipping and sliding on all the piles of leaves. unfortunately my self-imposed isolation to try and learn flash has kept me from checking out the status of trees here in north cambridge.

speaking of apples, i saw a family of deer friday night in lincoln at 6:15pm eating fallen tiny apples by the parking lot. i managed to get a photo on my cell phone but have to figure out how to free it from there. it was so exciting! i hated to disturb their family snack-time but i had to go by them to get to my car.

There are still lots of apples, but you have to come soon!!

I'm glad you saw the deer, very cool! Staying at work late, or what?

Yeah! The photos from Cornwall and Devon were great--why'd she stop?? She thinks she can go to England and just have fun?

I'll stop by some more :-D

Are the trees early because of the warm temps? or did you guys have the early spring followed by the freeze as well?

It's because we've had less than an inch of rain since the beginning of July.
