Playing bocci on a beautiful sunny September day at my friend Carrie's house in Salem.

On this day in 365 Urban Species: Poke, a favorite native weed even among those who hadn't known the name before! I was put on the spot and forced to come up with some sources to back up one of my statements in this entry. There's also a nice bit of Thoreau posted in the comments.
