New Soylent Screen Up!

This time around I review Murder Party, a great new indie horror comedy that's been circulating at film festivals but is already available on DVD.

Also, I give my Hallowe'en recommendations, as a naturalist who loves b movies about monsters and killer animals.

I thought that was Betty White in that picture. Sheez, the idea of her swearing makes me want to see the film just for that.

I saw Murder Party at the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival (http://www.sidewalkfest.com/) a few weeks ago and it was absolutely my favorite overall film that I saw (it's available on DVD from Amazon already).

My description of it is that it is a "reverse slasher film" in which there is one victim and many slashers and

SPOILER ALERT!

at the end the victim is the only one left alive. It's a great genre bender of a film and I really enjoyed it.

Oh, and as a film buff and environmental buff, I can't recommend Blood Car (http://www.bloodcar.com/) high enough. :) "Yep... candy and make up in the trunk."
