Some people might think that "agnostic pantheist" is a contradiction in terms, but it describes me perfectly.

You scored as Agnostic

Agnostics consider the possibility that they may be wrong about God's existence, no matter which side of the fence they stand on. Always willing to objectively evaluate the most ridiculous proof, nevertheless, these guys are skeptics of the Nth degree.

Ah! Some of the coolest people in the world are Spiritual Atheists. Most of them weren't brought up in an organized religion and have very little baggage. They concentrate on making the world a better place and know that death is just another part of life. What comes after, comes after.

I's pretty apt, and when I say apt I mean flattering. It's true though that my folks aren't religious. My dad's agnostic and my mam's an angry atheist.

Meh... whatever. Apathetic Atheists tend towards disbelief because believing takes more work. These are the people who won't argue religion, even if a total nutjob confronts them because arguing just seems like a waste of time they could spend doing something else.

These guys rule. I'm not one of them myself, although I play one online. They know the rules of debate, the Laws of Thermodynamics, and can explain evolution in fifty words or less. More concerned with how things ARE than how they should be, these are the people who will bring us into the future.

Yep, that's what I always call myself: agnostic slouching toward atheism. I think man created god in his image, not the other way 'round.

I wish there was a god. I wish there was a plan, a reason, something tangible. I wish there were ghosts and goblins and faeries and things that go bump in the night. It would be so much more interesting then.

Instead, I really believe life is all a random crapshoot, and whatever meaning it has is created solely by us as individuals, and then as communities. And when we die. . . poof. Leftover meatbags.

Which is fine by me. (shrug) Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky / all we are is dust in the wind.

I just tried the belief-o-matic (http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html) again, and this time I came up UU (as usual) and Buddhist (no surprises there):

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Theravada Buddhism (99%)
3. Neo-Pagan (93%) (neo-pagan??! gah!)
4. Liberal Quakers (92%)

Of course, I'd say that buddhism and scientific atheism are perfectly compatible. so that's fine.

I've taken that one a mess of times, and I always come up Unitarian. You got Neo-Pagan because you care about the environment.

Hooray! I like my new results.

I saw a news bit about a group of atheists who are starting an Atheist Religion.

All belief systems are constructs. they can be very dense and blind us to reality.
