I was looking for the first ice earlier today in these puddles. Wasn't there yet.

I like that you also take note of things like first ices, first snows, and my favorite, first insect of spring (usually a mosquito.) These cues matter.
And today was t-shirt/light sweater weather for me. Which is tripping me out because we usually get our first frost and ice days in September or very early October.
I take comfort when the seasons seem to behave as they should. So far, this November seems about right in my totally unscientific opinion, but we'll see how that goes. Last year, I didn't even pull out my long underwear until January.
