Autumn Continues

I seem to remember Thanksgivings from my childhood as cold days, autumn on the calendar but decidedly wintry in character. This year it was almost 60 degrees, and the little park near our house still looks like fall.

I stood on the old rotten remains of a long gone dock on the Muddy River to get this upstream shot.

A great blue perches high above a discarded chair in the water. This picture was taken almost directly across the river from here.

These tiny samaras are the fruit of Japanese knotweed.
