And that sandbar in the middle has purple loosestrife on it now (you can see the dead plants in the last pic) which is acting as a soil stabilizer, turning it into a permanent island which (I think) slowed the water down enough to freeze the pond earlier this year.
Wonderful set of pics. (I've done a similar thing -- should really see if I can find all my pics of the same view). Interesting that the water level still hasn't come back to where it was at the beginning of May.
