In which I imagine what the current presidential candidates would be like if they won the office. Some of them I couldn't imagine past the candidate stage, however. Some I can imagine all too clearly. I didn't name all of them, just the ones on the top of my head. (Sorry Dodd and Tancredo)

Romney: most likely to continue the Bush legacy of corrupt incompetence.

Clinton: most likely to win the primary but lose the election because half of the country hates her for no good reason.

Giuiliani: most likely to order troops to fire on Americans.

Obama: most likely to age 4 years for every one year as president (see: WJ Clinton)

McCain: most likely to die in office, leaving us with President Frist (or Rice ~shudder~).

Edwards: most likely to actually get votes from non-Democrats.

Huckabee: most likely to place well in Iowa and South Carolina, but tank in New Hampshire, and never be heard from again.

Richardson: most likely to be the Vice Presidential nominee.

Paul: most likely to stop making Republican debates interesting, after placing last in every primary.

Kucinich: most likely to stop making Democratic debates interesting, after placing last in every primary.

Thompson: most likely to go away once people stop paying attention to him.

Biden: most likely to run for president every four years whether or not people pay attention to him.

ho do you think is gonna win the Presidency? I think really Obama, Clinton, Giuliani, Huckabee, Romey and McCain all are still viable in some form.

I really don't know who will win.

I think all you listed still have a chance, except Huckabee, who appeals only to extremists on one side. McCain has been written off by the media, but if I absolutely had to choose a Republican for president out of this crowd I'd choose him, if for no reason other than I believe his opposition to torture is right and sincere. I can find no other issue that I agree with the other Republicans on (except Paul's opposition to the war).

I think Edwards is a long shot, but I really hope he's nominated, because I think he's the only Democrat that enough non-Democrats might vote for to get elected.

Edwards is my choice. But by the time the primaries roll around to Ohio, my vote for him wouldn't count anyway... What a system!

Ya know, the party could nominate someone that didn't win the majority of the primaries because they think that person would fare better in a general election. I don't see that happening due to Hillary Fest within the party. (Aside: There are plenty of good reasons to dislike her. I count myself among the ranks of the Hillary Hate camp. But I will vote for her if she's the nominee since I'd count that vote as one against the Republicans.)

I'll count you among those who hate her for good reasons (but would vote for her anyway). I'm disturbed by those (some in my own family) that hate her for arbitrary or personal reasons, and so would vote for Vlad the Impaler if he were running against her.

Yeah. I hear ya. I'm prety progressive, and failry liberal/socially liberal, and a fan of Bill, but Hill scares me. She's very far left. Too far left.

If it's me you're taking about, I hate her because she's outwardly duplicitous (as opposed to the majority of the candidates who at least try to hide it). I wouldn't trust her to pick me up at the airport or not trip me to distract a hoard of zombies while she ran away. That being said, I don't think that makes her a bad fit for the position. I might vote for her, but I sure won't love her, or even leave her in a room alone with my last chocolate chip cookie.

Yeah. Edwards would be ideal. BUT! I keep forgetting he's in it.

I have to agree. Poor Obama. I was actually thinking about that Japanese PM Koizumi. I think he aged a decade for every year he served.

I agree about Giuliani, but I am not so sure about Huckabee. His first impression is dazzling, he has the highly expressive eyes and steady gaze which people who study such things have noted in the leaders of the past, and he already knows what he thinks. I was a voter in 1976 and Carter's rise to power left us categorically floored. The gay community has declared red alert about Huckabee and they are right.
