urbpan | Mini-review of Swordfish

This waste of talent commits the most egregious of action movie crimes. It portrays computer programming as a tense dramatic event. Sorry, some guy (an underfed Hugh Jackman) tapping away furiously at a keyboard, perspiration forming at his brow, does not belong in an action movie. This movie contains no less than three of these scenes. The actual action scenes are amusing, mostly due to their sheer preposterousness, but ultimately made me wish that the money was spent on something useful. A degrading embarassment for all involved, especially the viewer.
