Some peacocks roosted overnight in a tree.

These unidentified gilled mushrooms (a rarity in December) sprouted from a stump just outside of my work area. They may be brick top, or "kuritake"

These column toppers are being stored in an unused exhibit not visible to the public. They look to me like they were never installed. There are some partial columns (well worn from being clambered on) by the main entrance.

On this day in 365 Urban Species: Nothing, as we were in the primitive land of Vermont, with no laptop.

Those are some lovely mushrooms, and they look so solid. We still have a lot here, but they're tending towards etherial and pale.

Those columns are neat! Too bad they never used them...
Love them peacocks! :)
