oh he is too sweet for words! You are lovely people to do this. My sister-in law volunteers at a shelter for abused dogs and I my heart goes out to her too and all the people who care for animals.

It reminds me of Euonymus. It would be easier to identify if you can describe the flowers. I also wondered about Privet, but the leaves may be too large.
