Noticing the Year: 01/07/08

My commute takes place at both dusk and dawn (a nine hour shift, nicely coinciding with our nine hours of daylight in winter) and so I see the sunrise and sunset from my car. I thought it was about time for me to pull over and appreciate the sun setting over Franklin Park.

Beautiful. Sunsets in winter can really be spectacular.

Here are a few before, during and after the big storm here in San Francisco last Friday. (http://flickr.com/photos/smdemon) The sunset was happening during a huge transition which went from green to pink. It was bizarre. Whenever the sky turns green it freaks me out a little since I associate that with tornadoes from living in the South.
