An old joke I tell too often involves a visitor to New England who complains about the weather. His New Englander friend objects saying that New England has all different kinds of weather, at which the first man says "Yes, but all in one day?!"

This morning it was clear for a while, then a cold nasty rain began to fall. Then the sun came out and the sky was blue. The next moment there were whiteout conditions with high winds and heavy snow. We walked out into lightly falling flurries. In a little while it was sunny again. Just now there were some thunderclaps. I looked at the window and it's snowing heavily again.

Where are the locusts?

The locusts come after the rain of burning brimstone. THEN the locusts, THEN the scorpions.

I thought the scorpions came after the rain of frogs.
