Everybody's favorite harbinger of spring, pussy willow.

It's important, in a largely Jewish town like Brookline, to let the Easter Bunny know that you are observant, and therefore deserve colored eggs.

This is the closest commercial area to the main zoo entrance. At the far left is Stash's, a passable pizza and sandwich place (order by phone, ordering at the counter is an exercise in frustration with the argumentative staff). At the far right is De Hot Spot, a Caribbean takeout joint. I need to bring Alexis there to see if their roti passes muster. In the center is a church. I wonder, when I look at the block, if the church was once a theater.

Yes. Yes, it was a theater.

Are the daffodils up there open yet? Ours just bloomed yesterday.

Wow, cool! It was a Yiddish theater at that!

No, our Daffs seem like they have a couple weeks yet.

You wonder? With that superstructure behind the carib place?

Ps: Likes the knitted shots you've been posting lately.

Caribbean takeout? Nooooo! back! back!

(I've seen enough doubles and meat patties and curry goat in Bed-Stuy to last a lifetime.)
