Tree Duck

wood ducks are supposed to be in trees--that's where they nest. this female mallard seems out of place, but nonetheless content.

Wouldn't have believed it until I saw it for myself this morning...two mallard ducks high up in a tree. Ducks in a tree? Whas next? Squirrels in a pond?
