#340  the great outdoors as seen from the great indoors, on summer solstice.

#341 my traveling companions in the small hot backseat on the way to lynn woods.

#342 foxgloves growing in a behind-the-scenes part of the zoo.

#343 the riverway, with an oil-catching boom across one of the stone bridges.

#344 a coworker sticking her tongue out at me.

#348 a wholesome diet for a large fruit-eating bird.

#349  i've been rather preoccupied with the drains at work; pest control reasons, you see.

Bonus snapshot #1  The summer mushrooms are up, and Alexis has plucked a perfect Stropharia rugoso-annulata.

Bonus snapshot #2  The other dogs in my life, on one of their last days in quarantine.  You can go see them in their exhibit, now.

i wonder about #343, the oil catching boom. why is there oil in that little rill and does that thing really catch all the oil?

Oil spill:

The clean-up crews had set up several booms at different points on the river. The white material somehow absorbs oil without absorbing water.
