Nope: Sarracenia pitcher plants. However, I happen to like castor plants quite a bit, and may grow one next summer.

Yep! an old favorite. It is supposed to be dry for the next few days...
Do you find Fuligo septica to be an accurate weather predictor?

I'm not sure about anywhere else, but it's a spot-on predictor for dry weather in Dallas. The earlier the slime molds start producing fruiting bodies, the worse the summer's going to be: we had a lot of them this April and May.

i grew several on my porch, they only got to be six feet or so. what inspired me where the 10-12 footers, and being told that the ones out back growing on the compost heap were more like 20+ feet tall and fearsome :) then they has those seeds that explode :>

i swear, a lot more fun than russian sunflowers :)

it's worth finding some that are dry, and dropping water on them whilst filming :>

ooh...i AM learning. because i saw that picture and thought "slime mold" and i looked again and thought, "dog vomit, right?" and that's definitely from 365; there's no other way i could possibly have known that. thanks!
