Noticing the year: 10/31/08

Happy Hallowe'en everyone! And new years wishes to those of you who celebrate it now.

This was the first morning that it was below freezing when we walked the dogs. Didn't feel that bad, since it's dry and clear and not windy--plus I wore a hat and gloves in anticipation of the weather. It's been an extraordinarily beautiful fall so far.

It was the first day this year with a serious frost here too! It's lovely and sunny with the frost on the grass and roofs (and the clothes on my washing line too unfortunately)

I'm not going to watch the clip because I decided about a month ago not to go out of my way to look at things that I know will make me angry anymore. I'm angry enough of the time as it is. Imagine getting to age of nearly 29 and only figuring this out now! I reckon I've put an extra decade onto my life.

Anyway roll on the 4th and the end of all this. It's excrutiating!

I'm so glad Rachel Maddow called her out on that! Palin's comments have been making the Ecolog List-serv a busy place lately (it's the e-mail list for the Ecological Society of America) but I wasn't sure how the general public was taking it.
