Apropos of not much, Alexis and I went to Flann's for brunch last Sunday.
She surprised me by ordering herself a very photogenic beer.
She's not so bad herself. :)




Flann O'Brien's decor, with its namesakes' famous quote (with the beertaps) and his portrait, as well as famous one from Mr. Wilde, and an autographed drumskin and photo from Ireland's current most famous artists.

Then we went up to nearby Puddingstone Park, where we encountered a Jim lookalike named Buster.

How long did it take you to punch both cards? I would have been tempted to try it over a couple nights. ;)

HA! A while. This year my friend boson had four strong beers in one sitting the first night, with plenty of food. We rode the bus home together, and we separate and he walked home from my house. The next day he said "Ok, after you guys left things got really weird." As much as I LOVE beer, I am WAY too lightweight on drinking strong beer to try to do it over two days or I would be sick. It takes me a couple of weeks because I really love to savor and enjoy the strong beers and try them with paired food tastings.
