Winter walk in the Riverway

Last Sunday we went for a walk in the Riverway together for the first time in weeks. I have to post the pictures now because it's all going to look different tomorrow all covered in snow.



This is the unpaved, Boston side.


The sinuous path winds up at Landmark Center, by Fenway Park.


This is from the Brookline side, looking across the Muddy River to the big synagogue at Longwood and The Riverway.


A pair of hooded mergansers was on the river. This is the male with his crest (hood) up.


Now with his crest down, and the female on the right.


Someone else is peeking.
