Date: 2009-02-07 05:03 am (UTC)I wish I could say something more profound and deep... but the fact of the matter is I'd end up talking about myself and my life. My husband's grandfather passed less than two weeks ago, under sudden, but not unexpected circumstances... but the details to that don't matter here.
I've seen so many people come up and share condolences and then start bellyaching on about how bad they have it, how they hurt, how horrible life is for them... and i does nothing but aggrevate those who are mourning... I don't want to be that person.
So. I'm glad your mother is at peace, and I hope the shadows she's left on earth are not too dark and too deep... but by the sound of it, she's left you with many a candle to find off the darkness with. :)
