I think it's official, now. The snow in Boston has been melting today, and krokuses and daffodils are sprouting. Alexis and I saw our first returning migratory bird in the city. It was a male red-winged blackbird, high in a tree in the Riverway, singing the praises of his territory. Don't put away the long underwear, yet, but dust off the sandals, just in case.

I set Vernal Equinox for a submission deadline for my new zine, Urban Nature Walk, and I just remembered today! I was worried that I wouldn't have enough writing in this first issue, but as I looked at my files I found that there is quite a bit. Editing out, rather than padding, will be the order of the day.

If you have seen the last two issues of The Urban Pantheist, you know that Alexis has amazing powers of art direction and graphic design. I can't wait to see this issue, and given that I need to have it done by April 24th for the Providence Zine Fest, we won't have long to wait (but we do have to get to work!) I'm also working on The Urban Pantheist #5, and it would be awesome to have it done by the Zine Fest, too, but that may be asking too much from myself.

If you are a nature lover who lives in the city, I invite you to check out my yahoo group urbannaturewalk@yahoogroups.com
