My best picture of the b-c n-h yet, bumped by stupid ducks. Now I know the secret: I have to take the picture when the sun isn't out. As Alexis says, the heron will be there again. The ducklings shot was pretty special.

It's dead bird season. Besides this robin, we passed a catbird and two house sparrows.

They say dogs and their owners start to look alike after a while.

Date: 2009-06-07 01:00 pm (UTC)Why are there so many dead birds right now? And animals, too? Found a second dead cat 2 days ago--both in gutters, last one was months ago but I am still not looking forward to burying this one either, and it looks as if it will be unclaimed as that one was. Couple of smushed squirrels and a crow just in the last 3 days. wtf?
