That is an excelletn heron picture. It's like the platonic ideal of heronness, with the reflection and the fluffy trailing feathers showing.

Do you know what those white flowers are? Are they supposed to grow in the water like that or was this ground that got flooded over?

They blew off of a nearby flowering shrub. Don't know what species the shrub is, but the flowers smell very strong.
