Taken moments before Charlie jumped in after the carp, still on leash, pulling the camera from my hand and into the river. There will be a brief pause in Muddy River photos.

Did he catch a carp? Is your camera going to be ok?

He might have if I'd let go of the leash. We'll see.

where did you take this pic? it would be great if you could somehow geotag these so they'd show up on google maps. that is an incredible amount of carp AND the water is so clear!! it's awesome.

Right at the entrance of the Riverway, by the water depth meter.

That's too bad. If you bought it with a credit card, some of them have a thing where if something like this happens they get you another. Maybe worth checking. Did the card stay dry and that's how you got the photo?

Yeah, I got the card out straightaway and happen to have a card reader and got the photos out safely. The camera is under warrantee, so we may get a replacement.

My wife works for a company whose bread and butter is drying out wet electronics. It worked on my cell phone.

The gist is: turn it off, take out the battery, and put it in a ziplock with as many of those silica desiccant packets as you can find around the house.

It worked when I turned it on this morning, then froze in open position. The Geek Squad has it now.

Ah. Those Best Buy protection plans are so sweet. My wife has gotten 3 new cameras, 2 GPS-es, and 3 new vacuums replaced under that.

Eek. I wish now I'd commented on the last few pics. Hopefully you got it back fixed, or a replacement, soon.

My housemate said the main point of taking a dog for a walk was to let them get into stuff. Then when they did she would yank them right out with loud curses. LOL. I am still not a dog person, I don't really understand :-)
