Houghton's Pond

Yesterday we ended up at Houghton's Pond. It was unusually warm, and ladybugs were swarming on the information kiosk.

It was a great day to enjoy the outdoors. Although I've made my feelings about fishing known here before, I can see why people like it, and this guy was definitely enjoying himself.

He even caught one, but he backed up to shore, where I couldn't see him, to pull it in.

A good day for a horseback ride in the woods, too, I suppose.

Mushroom season is more or less over, but these old shelves look nice.

I think tandem mountain biking says something pretty special about a relationship. Trust? Bravery?

Sorry to do this, but this is the ceiling of the nearby porta-potty. The whole plastic outhouse was crawling with ladybugs. If they were centipedes or something people would act like the world was going to end.

On the way out we encountered the equestrians again, involved in some kind of formal exercise.

Although, the overall person/wheel ratio is pretty good. . .
