This next one is "El Gigante," (also known as "Te Tokanga") the biggest moia ever carved. He lays still where he was carved, never stood up and moved to his ahu--supposedly he was destined for Vinapu, nine miles away. He is 65 feet tall and is estimated to weigh 270 tons.



You can see him laying at a diagonal, to the left of the people on the path.
